Webinar – “Our passion come from the same place: driving gender equality and women empowerment”

Anna Falth & Anna Gollub from UN Women US

In the framework of the B Women Online Dialogues cycle, the video conference was held “Gender Equality by UN Women” with Anna Falth -Senior Programme Manager at UN Women- and Anna Gollub -Policy Analyst, Economic Institutions at UN Women-.

They present the Women’s Empowerment Principles. These principles are the result of collaboration between the UN Global Compact and UN Women, and are adapted from the Calvert Women’s Principles®. They are informed by real-life business practices and input gathered from across the globe. These Principles also can inform other stakeholders, including governments, as they engage with business using the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Gender Gap Analysis Tool, a free, business-friendly, and strictly confidential tool that supports companies of all sectors and sizes to translate the WEPs into action. The tool helps companies identify strengths and gaps in existing gender equality policies and practices as well as identify opportunities and resources for improvement.

Women entrepreneurs from Europe and Latin America participated in the conference. This cycle is organized by the B Women Network, whose mission is to promote a purposeful economy, which relies on the power of partnerships and works with the B Movement for gender equity and the climate crisis, three of the 17 Development Goals Sustainable – the “to-do list” of the world by 2030-.
