Recording #bwsWEBINAR | Is it safe to be me?

By Gulnar Vaswani, Founder & Chief Culture Officer, Leadership Re-imagine

June 2nd, 2020

About the topic

How safe are you to be the TRUE version of yourself? Self-esteem, self-efficacy, self-advocacy and self-awareness all underpin the idea of safety and belonging. Yet, many women feel ‘selfish’ to fill their own cup, because culture has ingrained in us a responsibility to put others’ needs first. We focus on building and strengthening relationships around us before laying a healthy foundation with ourselves. As we navigate our personal and professional ambitions, can we continue to strengthen our interpersonal relationships whilst nurturing a positive intra-personal relationship with ourselves?

Compassion for others, without compassion for yourself is incomplete. When we consciously turn the focus of our care inwards, we become more confident; more creative; build stronger relationships; communicate more effectively and develop into better leaders and decision-makers, empowering everyone to show up to the table authentically.
