Cultivating empathy through video-games using real world statistics (EN)
June 30 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

RealLives puts the “face” on global statistical data & indicators from 193 real countries (collected over many years by various global agencies) by using gamification, data analytics, AI & cloud technologies through our proven simulation platform RealLives (RL) (www.reallivesworld.com). RL creates billions of life narratives of ‘ordinary people’ – stitching them out of real world data. RL is also driven to revolutionize classrooms by introducing the ‘Empathy-to-Action’ paradigm, which leads us to seamlessly connecting the life narratives with the relevant UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – to enable a nuanced understanding of the life challenges ordinary human beings face in the light of sustainability challenges. Students (whether school or collegiate) can step into experiencing these lives and gain insights in solving the challenges of sustainability that face the world while surviving as a family. In the process, RL builds empathy and also creates change-makers with a vision for solving global problems. In effect – revolutionizing education and making it future-ready for addressing the unique mind-sets of millennials.
